Texas Chapter of the Wildlife Society Annual Meeting
Quanta Environmental Solutions’ Andrea Wiley, Chris Miller and Dennis McAfee attended the Texas Chapter of the Wildlife Society (TCTWS) annual meeting this past week in Montgomery, Texas.
The Quanta Environmental team members participated in a wildlife management workshop at the Sam Houston National Forest WMA, networking receptions, presentation sessions and executive board meetings.
Wiley, a Quanta Environmental scientist, is the co-committee chair of the chapter’s quarterly newsletter and attended her fifth annual meeting.
“Each year I look forward to the presentations, workshops and networking opportunities. This year was no exception and it did not disappoint. The meeting was more or less in our backyard, so it was exciting to participate in a workshop that discussed the wildlife of our area and learn some of the management techniques they utilize,” she said.
The TCTWS’s goal is to promote excellence in wildlife stewardship through science and education. The annual meeting allows professionals in the field to learn about new science and discoveries and provides a platform for students to present their thesis and undergraduate work.
Quanta Environmental was honored to be a sponsor of the 2019 annual meeting and was recognized in the meeting program and on the website.
